Real Life Professor Layton Solving Puzzles Across The Country

Posted 9/21/09 1:00 pm EST by Russ Frushtick in 3DS / DS, Exclusives, News

Even though "Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box" is out in the wild, Nintendo isn't giving up on bringing the puzzles to the masses. As a means of promoting the game, they'll be sending a representative dressed up as the one and only puzzle professor, to cities across the country.

If fans manage to find Layton Lookalike, they'll be asked to solve a puzzle. Solve it correctly and they'll have a chance to win a copy of the game. Nintendo will also have a site promoting his excursion, giving out hints of where to find the Professor.

Here's his schedule, which starts this Wednesday:

• Wed., Sept. 23: Minneapolis
• Fri., Sept. 25: Miami
• Tues., Sept. 29: Boston
• Wed., Sept 30: Seattle

If you manage to spot Layton in one of these cities, let us know in the comments. Personally I'd be a little terrified if I spotted this guy wandering around the super market or (god help us) an elementary school playground, but I'm sure Nintendo will place him in appropriate and puzzle-ridden locales.
