In what may be the "No More Heroes" franchise's last hurrah for the Wii, Suda51 looks to be redoubling its efforts to integrate retro-styled gamplay. The new trailer for "No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle" boasts extended commentary from Suda Goichi (with the help of a throaty-voiced translator) who explains the game's new double-handed fighting interface along with a few other innovations. Visually, though, the video's biggest eye-catcher is its glimpse at Travis Touchdown's new minigames.
"There are different kinds of job missions, but this time, we have a lot of 2D games instead of 3D games," Suda explains in the trailer. "For example, in the previous game there was a minigame where his part-time job was to collect coconuts. In the last one it was 3D, but in this one, it's a 2D game on purpose."
The new reel of "No More Heroes 2" scenes also sports a burger-flipping job, though there are no clear depictions of landmine-finding or grass-cutting, as seen in the first game. If gameplay works as it did the first time around, the part-time job minigames will earn you money to challenge your way up the list of bosses, which, if the new trailer is to be believed, may include an entire team of cheerleaders.
