EA's doors and online cash registers are now open for business to anyone interested in squeezing two or three more hours out of "Mass Effect." The minimally publicized DLC titled "Pinnacle Station" went live yesterday for PC and Xbox 360, and priced at the $5 mark, it won't break the bank. But it may have broken something temporarily in the game-worlds of users who rushed to install it.

The draw (so to speak) of "Scribblenauts" is for players to use creativity to solve challenges. Theoretically if it makes sense that something will work, it usually does. And considering there are oodles of solutions for each level, there's really no reason for someone to feel "stuck."

Though the fate of "Beyond Good and Evil 2" has yet to be confirmed publicly from an official source, one writer claims to have personal confirmation that game has been put in suspended animation. If a pause button has been hit on the Ubisoft sequel's development, the game's conspicuous absence at E3 will turn out to be a canary in the media coal mine ahead of any official acknowledgment.

Earlier this month, in an interview with Videogamer.com, George Andreas, Rare's design director, said the following:
"You would just have to rethink the way a shooter works [for Natal]. Shooters work the way they do at the moment because they’re based around the original Xbox 360 controller. You throw that interface away and here’s a completely different interface. Now how do we create a shooter for this? Does it mean that you have to run, strafe, turn, throw grenades in the way that you’re used to? Maybe not. Maybe there’s another way of doing shooters."
Fair enough, George. I have my doubts about games that have your on-screen avatar carrying an actual weapon of some kind. If I’m waving my arms and legs about in “Perfect Dark 2” but not holding something to represent Miss Joanna Dark’s weaponry, the cognitive dissonance might be too much to handle. But if you make a shooter where you shoot stuff from your hands, well, that might just be a treat. Andreas’ enthusiasm for the tech has me thinking about what games would be perfect fit for the machine:

Sony's new PS3 Slim offers an enticing deal for the third-generation Playstation platform's holdouts -- perhaps too enticing for Best Buy's tastes if a rumored internal memo turns out to be legit. The bigwigs up top at the retail giant have reportedly granted store managers permission to offer customers a free game and price-matching if they approach the customer service desk eager to exchange a recently purchased full-size PS3 for its slender new offspring.

At a recent video game retailer event, Robert Bowling, community manager for Infinity Ward, was showing off a level in the single player campaign when he came across a dead body who was packing a desert eagle. No big deal, right? But instead of just getting a replacement sidearm, Bowling was able to pick up two Deagles at once and go all John Woo on their asses. In his words:

"Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao," pictured above, is coming out today and will support 3D glasses of various shapes and creeds. It's not the only game coming out this year that'll support them, either. It sorta makes we wonder whether this is something that'll catch on, or if it's just a Virtual Boy-esque fad. Oh wait, Virtual Boy was never a fad.

UPDATE: I've actually gotten better at the game (i.e. getting past the first level), and that's where the Lite version ends. Oh, and something else I missed: accelerometer support which lets you fine-tune "Mr. Aahh" as he falls. Definitely worth a dollar.
Original Story: Always on the lookout for quick time-killers on the iPhone, I stumbled across "Mr. AahH!!" today. The premise is extremely basic: A faceless gentleman, the titular Mr. AahH, has a rope which lets him swing from a platform to platform. Landing on the center of a platform grants you more points, but the platforms get smaller and smaller as you progress through a series.

If you’ve got a hankering to play as a giant wolf who happens to be the god of the sun but you’ve already played “Okami” on both the PS2 and Wii, take heart! There might just be some more "Okami" on the way. The ever-vigilant Japanophiles over at Siliconera have dug up a trademark for “Okamiden”.
