"Bayonetta" is really weird. Don't get me wrong, it looks awesome, and plays like an even more polished "Devil May Cry," but over the course of, say, a minute of playing the game, you probably going to think you took some bad acid. Boss fights against monsters which closely resemble the wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man, for example.
So I gave Wayne Shiu, Brand Manager for Sega, a challenge (somewhat inspired by Kotaku's "Justify Your Game" video features from a while back): Describe a game with some many strange facets in two sentences. His first sentence was a bit of a run-on, but the second was so concise and accurate that it turns out he really just needed one:
"It's a game about a sexy and stylish witch who has powers that form monsters from her hair, which also is a costume that falls off her body and exposes her from time to time."
Bravo Wayne. Couldn't have said it better myself.
