According to an Activision conference call, Infinity Ward is only planning on releasing two map packs for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2." Mike Griffith, Activision Publishing CEO had this to say:
"We plan to launch two separate map packs for this title. Map packs help extend the shelf life of the franchise, as evidence by the strong catalog sales and premium pricing that we maintained a year and a half after launch."
Well, two map packs is exactly double the number that we saw in the original "Modern Warfare," and a third less than the already-released packs for "World at War." No details were given as to the scope of the packs, and whether they'd be co-op or adversarial-centric. I've reached out to Infinity Ward for comment, so stay tuned.
