FROM MTV MOVIES BLOG: Genital mutilation! I know that got your attention. I’m not using as a means of misdirection either. Genital mutilation really does apply to the news I have to share.
You may or may not have heard, but one of the films that generated a lot of buzz at the Cannes International Film Festival this year was director Lars Von Trier’s “Antichrist,” starring Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg. That’s not to say it was well-received. Or poorly received. It was certainly received however, with its shocking depictions of sexuality and graphic violence. How shocking… well let’s just say that I’m not comfortable printing the gory details here.
