Fans who have been concerned about the increasingly bullet point-riddled iterations of the "Tony Hawk" franchise might want to start getting a little bit excited. The debut trailer for "Tony Hawk Ride" reveals that the next volume in the series - confirmed for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii - will kickflip its way into the future with a packed-in skateboard peripheral. The trailer doesn't offer up any object demonstrations of the faux-'board in action, but it ends with a reveal of the device: sleek and black, with buttons on its side.

Expect more to be revealed at E3 in a few weeks. For now, enjoy the trailer.

We all know Steve Wiebe as the lovable "Donkey Kong" champ from director Seth Gordon's "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters" documentary. Wiebe's ongoing high score feud with current-then-former-then-current-then-who-the-hell-can-keep-up? "Kong" champ Billy Mitchell was the subject of the documentary, but it was really just laying the groundwork for a much larger story.

The next chapter will unfold at this year's E3 convention in Los Angeles, where Wiebe will again attempt to topple Mitchell's high score. The makers of Stride, The Ridiculously Long Lasting Gum, are sweetening the deal for Wiebe, offering up a year's supply of their newest flavor along with a cash payout of $10,001. In quarters. Which he'll probably have to part with half of in order to pay the airline for the cost of carrying such heavy luggage on his flight home. Read more...

It'll probably be a while before we see Indy back on the big screen, but that doesn't mean he's missing from the spotlight. On June 9, LucasArts will release "Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings," a brand new adventure for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Sony PS2 and Sony PSP.

The game is set in 1939 and those crazy Nazis are stirring things up again, forcing our intrepid archeologist to go hunting for new treasure. While the missions will be fun for all systems, the game is especially optimized for the Wii. In particular, the advantage of having the Wii remote allows some innovative gameplay with Indiana's signature weapon, the whip.

In the video below, Matt Shell from LucasArts takes us through using the whip with the Wii remote and how to properly wield the rawhide wand.
