How Much The CEOs of Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts Make

Posted 3/20/09 1:00 pm EST by Stephen Totilo in activision, blizzard, CEOs, ea, Money

A chart that takes a look at the earnings of digital CEOs includes Activision Blizzard’s Bobby Kotick and EA’s John Riccitiello. So how much are these guys worth?

PaidContent.org, an organization that looks at the economics of digital content, has published a chart that takes a look at the compensation packages of some of the highest-paid CEOs at digital companies. It also shows their salaries in relation to the increase of their company’s stock prices, based on 2008 proxy statements.

Kotick’s compensation, which was over $2 million, only rose six percent in 2007, while the company’s stock went up a whopping 49 percent thatyear. Meanwhile, the compensation of EA’s John Riccitiello, listed at nearly $1.4 million, dropped 37 percent as the publisher’s stock went down 38 percent in 2007.

Media blog fishbowlNY argues that Kotick's arrangement is the best deal for his company since his salary increase was so low compared to the increase in the company's stock.

Take a look at the full chart here.
