Following a recent teaser about a sequel announcement, EA revealed today that an "Army of Two" sequel is in the works. Titled "Army of Two: The 40th Day," the third-person, co-op title will be developed by the makers of the first game, EA Montreal.
The new game will once again feature protagonists Elliot Salem and Tyson Rios. The story takes the pair to Shanghai, China. According to the press release:
When a disaster of epic proportions strikes Shanghai, China, Rios and Salem find themselves right in the middle of it all--the wrong place, the wrong time, but the right team. A carefully orchestrated series of mysterious catastrophes is dragging Shanghai to the brink of ruin, and now the Army of Two must fight their way through ravaged city districts as they try to beat the odds and uncover the secret of the 40th Day.
The statement also promises that they'll be more co-op moves that either player can execute at any time. Here's the first screenshot as well:

"Army of Two: The 40th Day" will be out for Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP this winter.
Are you excited for this? I hope the story's better this time around, but I'll definitely play it.
