I could just repeat last week's "Lost" theories, because we're in the same spot as last week -- but I'm giving you more for your money.

Spoiler Warning: While we know nothing about season five’s fourth episode, the rest of this post will gleefully spoil events from previously aired shows.
Last week's episode gave us a lot of John Locke back-story, but I don't remember learning a whole lot about the island or many other of the show's mysteries. Nevertheless, I've got some new theories.
1) Locke's girlfriend isn't dead: Last week's episode showed us John Locke grieving at the grave of his girlfriend Helen. His despair over her death seemed to be one of the things driving him to his suicide attempt at the end of the show. But without a body shown, why should I believe she's dead? I think her death is another lie. This situation reeks of someone emotionally manipulating our bald hero.
2) Ben was lying to Locke: Well of course he was! He's always lying to Locke. But in this case, I seem to be in agreement with others that Locke was lying when he told Ben that he know about Mrs. Hawking. What I really want to know is why Ben started freaking out when Locke mentioned that Jin was alive. That seemed to trigger Ben's decision to kill Locke. What's Jin to Ben?
3) The woman who rowed away is who...? We were told in last week's episode that the pilot of the crashed Ajira flight, the reliable Frank Lapidus, rowed away in a canoe with some woman. Who? The lady who brought Sayid onto the plane wasn't with him, because she's still on the beach. The Oceanic 6 seem to have all time-warped away, which makes me doubt it was Kate. Some people say it is probably the plane's stewardess. But i have a more fun theory: the woman he rowed away with was Claire.
