During a talk about his studio's critical hit "LittleBigPlanet," Media Molecule co-founder Alex Evans described an earlier version of the game that had "physical tools" - 1) A shotgun that blew holes in things, 2) A hairdryer that melted stuff, and 3) A gun that sprayed foam.

Problem: "It was great fun but all you could do was create melting piles of s--t." So they dropped the tools, built the content editors and focused the gameplay on pushing, pulling and jumping.

"Mass Effect" fans desperate for details on BioWare's sequel are in luck; we've just been told a teaser trailer for "Mass Effect 2" has shown up on the game's official web site and reveals the fate of the hero from the last game -- the news is not good. What do you think so far?
