"Burnout" is fantastic, but "Burnout Paradise" left out something that was a deal breaker for me, but in today's patch, Criterion Games' fixed it, prompting me to finally buy "Burnout Paradise."

"Burnout Paradise" does not feature a "restart" function.
If you mess up an event, there's no way to immediately try it again. Instead, the game encourages you to simply move on and discover another event, rather than obsessing over a failed one.
I knew that would bug me to no end while playing "Burnout Paradise," which is why, despite being a "Burnout" fan, I didn't pick up the latest, much-praised installment. Hearing all my friends talk about it was painful, but I moved on.
A whole year later, however, Criterion Games has finally given into fan outcry and implemented a "restart" ability with a free patch for "Burnout Paradise." This update, combined with an attractive $19.99 price tag over PlayStation Network, has finally prompted me to dive in and buy "Burnout Paradise."
Thanks, Criterion. You now have my money.
