When you play Ubisoft's Tom Clancy air combat game, "HAWX," you are not only playing the prelude to the company's "End War," but participating in the air fighter section of a mission from the original "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter," laying a foundation of Clancy crossovers that the publisher told us will continue

The Tom Clancy universe is full of possibilities, which explains why Ubisoft snatched up the exclusive rights to the military author's name for use in video game and several other media in 2009.
Starting with March's air combat game "HAWX," however, Ubisoft will begin weaving the different Clancy video games together into one, cohesive universe.
The crossovers begin in "HAWX," as players participate in the air battle of a mission from "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter," where players fought on the ground. "HAWX"'s storyline is actually a prelude to the events in "End War," the publisher's Clancy-based real-time-strategy game.
These intersections are only going to continue, "HAWX" lead designer Thomas Simon told MTV Multiplayer during a multiplayer demo last week.
"Ubisoft pushes to have all the people [at Ubisoft studios] meeting, talking, discussing their games," said Simon. "[The crossover] came really naturally. It's just the beginning, it's like we opened a door. There are many possibilities. Obviously, the universe is rich [and more] interaction would be great. For the moment, it's an air combat game with some connection with other [Tom Clancy games], but it could lead to something else after, I hope."
Can you imagine an epic "Battlefield"-esque Clancy game where some gamers played "GRAW"-style on the ground, others took to the skies ala "HAWX" and commanders managed these actions, as they did in "End War"? That's exciting.
