One of my most requested gaming features is the ability to remotely add friends to my Xbox Live friends list.
Microsoft's Live Anywhere initiative was supposed to accomplish that, but Live Anywhere never came to fruition. Today, though, we're one step closer.
The folks at l337pwn have transformed their web app that hooks into Xbox.com into a full-fledged iPhone app called "Add XBOX Live Friend." When launched, the application allows you to type in a friend and add them to your list. It's not quite what I want just yet, though.
You still have to launch the phone's web browser and clumsily log into Windows Live via Xbox.com to have the friend request go through. It's not the elegant solution I've been hoping for, but l337pwn has told me that's not their fault, it's Microsoft's security policies. They could change eventually.
Almost there!
