Two days until the release of the new "World of Warcraft" expansion:
When you create a character in a game, how do you choose a name?
Do you go with the name randomization button? Do you just make one up right when you create the character?
Or do you think about it days before the game comes out?
If you're the latter, you're not alone. While I was looking around on the official "World of Warcraft" forums, I noticed more than a few threads started by players trying to decide what to name their Death Knight.
The new Hero class is available to players who have existing level 55 characters; they're able to create a level 55 Death Knight from scratch. But if you're like most hardcore "WoW" players, you've got multiple characters already, and you may have exhausted ideas for monikers.
If you're stumped for names (I usually am, as someone with characters hastily dubbed "Tj," "Teejay," and "Droolia"), here are some good and bad suggestions, as chosen by the forum's users...
"GOOD" NAMES:
Astheneia
Arthas
Amaranthe
Chickenwangs
Chucknorris
Darknite
Deathbeast
Deathkong
Deathknight
Imothep
Mordhause
Necrodiemos
Nekronomikon
Nurgle
Rickastley
Ronniejamesdio
Shadeofpalin
Skeletorc
Soulbane
Soulreaver
Unholymoley
Yersinia
"BAD" NAMES:
Arthas (or any variation -- ArthasX, Xarthasx, Arthasss, Arrthas, Arrtthas)
Bubbles
Canowhoopass
Chucknorris
Classeveryonewillrerollto
Darth___
Deathknight (or anything with Death or Knight in the name)
Deathnight
Dethnite
Fluffy
Pallyreroll
Ineedcoffee
Sephiroth (or any variation -- Xsephirothx, Sephiiroth, Sephhiroth, Sepphhiirrootthh)
Sirsmokesalot
Sunshine
Anything from fantasy fiction or religion (Death, Lord, Bane, Caine, Kane, Lucifer, Blood, Rune, Shade, Shadow, Night, Walker, Grim)
***
So what are you going to name your Death Knight? Will your monikers be inspired by pop culture icons, metal bands, other languages, anything Tolkien or your own name?
