'Guitar Hero: World Tour' Readying Raconteurs, Jimi Hendrix Download Packs

Posted 10/28/08 4:00 pm EST by Patrick Klepek in DLC, guitar hero, Music, Music Games

The competition over your downloadable dollars is about to get a lot more intense with the launch of "Guitar Hero: World Tour."

Just days after launching the new "Guitar Hero," Activision Blizzard has announced three-song downloadable track packs for The Raconteurs and Jimi Hendrix coming in November.

The Jimi Hendrix Track Pack, arriving November 13, features "If 6 Was 9," "Little Wing," and a live version of "Fire." The Raconteurs Track Pack drops on November 20 and includes songs "Salute Your Solution," "Hold Up," and "Consoler of the Lonely."

Both packs will be sold for 440 Microsoft Points, which is $5.49 on the PlayStation Store. According to the press release, however, Wii owners will only see songs from The Raconteurs at 200 Wii Points each.

However, there's no mention of Jimi Hendrix coming to Wii. We're checking with Activision Blizzard to see if there's a typo in the press release.
