XS Games is about to introduce another music peripheral, the AirG, with "PopStar Guitar." Thankfully, this one won't take up much space.
"PopStar Guitar"'s controller latches onto the Wiimote itself, transforming the controller with the familiar colored fret buttons from "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band."
I played with the uncomfortable-to-hold peripheral yesterday during a hotel room demo of "PopStar Guitar." The game's PR reps had no problem with it, though, so maybe I was holding it wrong. I just couldn't hit the buttons right.
But it's a cheap alternative to other, traditionally expensive music games. For $59.99, you get two Wiimote add-ons and a game with over 50 songs -- some covers, some not. And, finally, alienated Miley Cyrus fans will get a music game!
For another look at the AirG, this time in the hands of someone ready to rock, keep reading.
