In our round of box art reviews, we ask, "What does a game's box art say to consumers?" Here are the answers for this week's new releases.

"Dead Space" (X360, PS3)
What the Box Tells Us: Is "Dead Space" short for "Dead (Hand Floating In) Space"?
Pros: A bloody, disembodied hand evokes images of some of my favorite horror movies. Always a good association.
Cons: Is that the protagonist's hand? How are they going to battle whatever they're fighting with one hand?
Love It or Leave It: Love it.

"Lovely Lisa" (DS)
What the Box Tells Us: Lovely Lisa likes pink. She also likes dresses, lipstick, vacuums, and an ice cream scoop filled with dirt-laden ice cream.
Pros: Lisa is certainly lovely.
Cons: But vacuums? Not my idea of fun, and I wouldn't go advertising that on the box. It also oddly does not show Lisa interacting with these things.
Love It or Leave It: Leave it.

"WWII Battle Tanks: T-34 vs. Tiger" (PC)
What the Box Tells Us: The box tells us that it's "WWII Battle Tanks: T-34 vs. Tiger."
Cons: But that's about it.
Pros: It's not too busy at least (or interesting).
Love It or Leave It: Leave it.

"FIFA Soccer 09" (X360, PS3, PS2, PSP, DS)
What the Box Tells Us: There's a lot of screaming in soccer, but a little less this time than last year. This year, there's also furrowed brows and blank stares.
Pros: Three cover athletes doing different things are better than one.
Cons: What's up with that guy's arm and the other guy's leg? And the proportions of the players? It's just awkward poses and faces all around.
Love It or Leave It: Leave it.

"Brain Training For Dummies" (PC)
What the Box Tells Us: Hey it's one of those "Dummies" books. Oh wait, it's not a book.
Pros: Instant brand recognition. And it's the "fun and easy way" to learn. You know, versus actually reading a book.
Cons: The game box art is just as exciting and distinguishing as any of their book covers -- not very.
Love It or Leave It: Leave it.
