During the opening ceremonies at BlizzCon 2008, which just ended moments ago, Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime announced officially that the new class in "Diablo III" is the Wizard.
He showed a short clip of gameplay which had an Asian-looking female wizard bringing down bolts of lightning and fire upon multiple enemies (even using what looked like a bolt of fire to bring down a wall with the debris crushing hapless foes).
"Diablo III" is playable for the first time ever at BlizzCon, and stay tuned for my impressions. Until then, check out some snapshots.
