The iPhone 3G is here.
With it comes Apple's much anticipated application store on iTunes, as well, bringing free and pay applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch -- including games.
The application store has launched with a whopping 41 different games, running the gamut of genres.

* Family/Kids Games: 8
* Racing/Arcade Games: 8
* Puzzle/Strategy Games: 8
The highlights so far: "Super Monkey Ball," "Bomberman Touch" and "Enigmo."
If Apple's latest hardware is being taken seriously as a gaming platform, how does it stack up against the launches of the DS and PSP?

The DS launched on November 21, 2004 with 11 titles -- "Asphalt Urban GT," "Feel the Magic XY/XX," "Madden NFL 2005," "Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits," "Ping Pals," "Rayman DS," "Ridge Racer DS," "Spider-Man 2," "Mario 64 DS," "Woods PGA Tour 2005," "The Urbz: Sims in the City."
