At the end of the year we'll publish a list of our Top 10 games of the year. With the year half complete, it seems like a good time to post half of that kind of list.
We didn't think our west coast guy, Patrick Klepek, should have a say. So here are the Top 5's from your other three Multiplayer bloggers:
Stephen's Top Five Games Of The First Half Of 2008 (alphabetical order)
Note From Stephen: I expected the two big "four" games to be very good, but I didn't get expect to fall for a suba-diving sim and a Square-Enix fashion-driven RPG. "Smash" didn't make the cut, because I'm just not that big a fan

Jason's Top Five Games Of The First Half Of 2008 (ranked for greatness)
Note From Jason: Yes, I have actually enjoyed all those games more than "GTA IV," mostly because none of them make me drive people places. Surprisingly, that's not the reason that "Mario Kart" is missing. I think my list speaks to the idea that there is something to be said for the simpler things in life (and gaming).

Tracey’s Top Five Games Of The First Half Of 2008 (alphabetical order)
Note From Tracey: Bloody, cute and fun. Those are three adjectives that could sum up my idiosyncratic picks for the top five of the year so far. I expected "GTA IV" to be on the list for sure, but the rest were pleasant surprises. Can't wait for what the rest of the year will bring...
