For this special occasion, we bring you summer Multiplayer intern Ren-An Lo.
Party hats on, people! It's Multiplayer's 2,000th post!
On top of that, this is my very first post.
My name is Ren-An Lo, but call me Rey (short, simple, easy, and no confusion). Since I'm the brand new intern for MTV Multiplayer, the MP team asked me to write the landmark post for the blog. A little about me: I'm a Journalism student at Rutgers and my favorite games of all time are the "FIFA" titles.
But anyway, let's get back to what’s at hand.
Multiplayer has been bringing you in-depth interviews and coverage on games and games culture for a little over two years now. In the 2,000th post, we decided to dig deep into our vault of blog entries and show you some milestones from memory lane.
Here are some landmark posts:
#1 - E3 Approacheth!
In the debut post, then MTV freelancer Carrie Shepherd, writing for the MTV GameDrop blog (later merged with Multiplayer, remember?) was ever so excited for the pilgrimage to the 2006 E3 convention.
#500 - I’d Sell My Soul For A Doughnut … And A Simpsons Xbox
In this post, Simpsons fan Jason Cipriano took a look into Microsoft’s release of the limited Simpsons-themed Xbox 360.
#1000 - What We’re NOT Playing - Volume 12 (Virtual Fish Tanks and XBLA Grumbles)
One of Multiplayer's original features, "What We're NOT Playing" is an open conversation between the writers about the games they didn't want to play, whether be it not having enough time or simply not wanting to. Editor Stephen Totilo wrote about the arguments his fellow Multiplayers had.
#1500 - Black Professionals In Games: Midway's Shana Bryant On QA And Who She Was Counting At GDC
The last of a five-part in-depth interview series, Tracey John spoke with several different African-Americans about working in the gaming industry.
And there you have it -- a recap of what Multiplayer has brought to their faithful readers.
Happy 2,000th post, Multiplayer. And here's to many more!
