Activision didn't mean to announce the existence of "Guitar Hero: Metallica" this week, but one of their SEC filings accidentally did.
The "Guitar Hero" publisher has remained mum on the subject. The band itself, however, has confirmed that "Guitar Hero: Metallica" is real.
"Idle internet gossip, wishful thinking, or the real deal?" reads Metallica's official website. "Let's just say that perhaps, just maybe, if you've already mastered "One" on GHIII there might be a pile of 'Tallica songs in your future."
Metallica promises more details on "Guitar Hero: Metallica" later this summer.
