I just filed a report with MTV News about this week’s Multiplayer stories on Matt Damon’s decision to turn down becoming involved with “The Bourne Conspiracy.”
But it also includes some new information about Damon’s previous brushes with games.
Blindlight, a company specializing in connecting game publishers with Hollywood talent, contacted me yesterday. Blindlight said it’s not the first time Damon passed on games.
“We’ve been doing this for over eight years ā we have more experience in this field than any other company ā and by now we’ve made offers to just about every Hollywood name you can think of,” said Blindlight general manager Lev Chapelsky. “When it comes to Damon, we’ve [made] several game offers to him over the years and have consistently found that he’s not interested in working in the field.”
Blindlight is responsible for hooking Robert Downey Jr. up with Sega’s “Iron Man” game and for Edward Norton working on “The Incredible Hulk” (also a Sega game).
If you missed my earlier stories, my MTV News report will have you up to speed.
